Does my pet need specific vaccinations to attend boarding/daycare?

Yes. Wag’n Tail Retreat requires that all pets have up to date vaccination records.

Dogs require rabies, distemper, and bordetella whereas cats require their distemper, feline leukemia, and rabies. We cannot accept any animals who do not have up to date vaccinations! We also cannot accept puppy distemper. It must be the full adult one. Please bring any and all documentation showing proper vaccinations that have been given to your pet. It is easiest to email or fax us the copy.

We suggest always getting a fecal test done to check for worms, as well as a flea treatment. Although it is not required and we will still take your pets, if any fleas or worms are found, appropriate treatments will be given by a vet. Customers will then be charged for any treatments plus a $10.00 delivery fee.

What items should I bring with my pet while boarding?

We encourage our customers to bring in any items that will make their pets feel comfortable! This includes any blankets, toys, food, etc.

Please note that we do supply bed cots, blankets, and pet bowls as well.

We also offer free treats, Purina variety snaps, as well as our own dry dog food. Our kennel food is $1 per cup per serving.

My pet takes medication. Can I still board him/her?

Yes. Please bring any medication your pet needs and let our staff know how much and how frequently they will need to take it. We do require you bring the bottle or some type of prescription with the label on it.

Can I take a tour of your facility before bringing my pet?

Absolutely! Be sure to give us a call to schedule it in advance!

What about grooming?

We cannot make appointments for grooming. Please call 573 431 9247 and dial extension #2 for all grooming services and they will set you up for an appointment. If you have any further questions or concerns, please call the extension or your personal groomer.

When can I drop my pet off for boarding/daycare?

Our operating hours are as follows:

MON-FRI: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM

SAT-SUN: 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM & 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

*We are completely closed to customers on Thanksgiving and Christmas*

What are acceptable payments?

We accept cash, checks, and card payments. We do not accept any form of care credit payments. Please note if you use a card, there will be an automatic 4% fee added. There is not a fee with cash and check payments.
